I am blessed to have spent to so much time with Big Mama. I wish I could have said bye at least one more time, and celebrate her in person. I am thankful for the memories and love she has left us with. I love you always Big Mama.

Our heart goes out to you during this difficult time. Losing a mother is one of life’s greatest sorrows, and we can only imagine the depth of your grief. Please know that you are in our  thoughts and prayers, and we pray that God’s love and comfort surround you in the days ahead.

I met Ms. Jean Allen in 1996. Tina and I were dating and wanted to introduce me to her mom. One day we decided to meet at Jean's house but she wasn't home yet.  Shortly after Jean arrived, Tina, Jason, Nick and I went out to greet her.  Jean stared at me for a few seconds, then said, grab a bag and come on inside. Instantly we connected. Jean was like another mother to me. Years later I again was honored to be in her presence. I got the pleasure of giving her the same respect in her later years as she did in my younger years. Jean, I love and will miss you. Always in my heart. To the family, my prayers and condolences.

Jean was more then a sister in law to me, she stepped in when my sister and I needed her most. I remember her smile was so infectious and bright. The love and care she gave to me will never be forgotten.  I will love her always.

Jean Allen (Big Mama) was more than just a mother-in-law to me—she was a source of wisdom, strength, and kindness. Big Mama had a heart that embraced everyone around her with love and warmth. She lived her life with grace, always putting her family first . Her laughter, her stories, and her unwavering support will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and compassion will live on in all of us. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Rest in peace, Big Mama. You will always be cherished.
