

Jeanne Marie Hunter LaDuca passed away July 14, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeanne was born Dec. 21, 1955 in Las Vegas. She was a graduate of Valley High School in 1974 and a life-long resident of Las Vegas and Henderson. Jeanne spent 20 years in the medical profession prior to opening LaDuca's New York Italian Deli in Henderson with her husband, Sal. LaDuca's Deli served the Henderson community for nearly six years. Jeanne loved serving her community through her cooking and was always quick to cater charitable events. Jeanne and Sal supported the local police and fire department, and were always there to help when needed. Jeanne was a proud sponsor of the CSN Baseball team and loved cooking at the games. She was preceded in death by mother, Roberta Jean Camito Hunter. She is survived by her husband, of 20 years, Sal; children, Scott Taylor and Rebecca McGovern; grandchildren, Anastasia McGovern, Hunter McGovern and Travis Parker; father, Jack Hunter (Joanie); auntie, Marianna Comito; aunt, Kathy Hunter; mother-in-law, Connie LaDuca; sisters, Susan Hunley, Mary Friendship (Keith), Christine Bailey Riley, Josette Bailey Poirier and Teresa Bailey Sivils; nieces and nephews; and her long-time New York friend, Ann Wyant. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 19. Services at noon, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Cancer Society or any charity of choice .
