It is with profound sadness that the family of Jefferson A Money announce his passing at the age of 73. He was born in Pampa, Texas and attended McClain High School. After high school, Jeff served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 - 1970 as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War before moving to Arizona where he met his loving wife Diane.
Seven months later they were married in Las Vegas and began a new adventure in Washington State where he began his career with HDR Engineering, which took him to Wyoming, and ultimately settled in Las Vegas. He was a civil engineer, licensed plumber, electrician, carpenter, contractor, and business owner before retiring.
Being the proud and involved father and grandfather that he was, he became a Cub Master and coached football, soccer, and his daughter’s softball teams. His zest for flying and planes was evident as he had his pilot’s license and flew as often as he could. His dream was to fly a P-51 mustang which he accomplished in 2009. He loved spending time with his grandkids, his favorite dog Pluto, catching up with old friends, looking for new projects, and watching Westerns with his wife. He took Pluto everywhere he went and had a reputation for becoming fast friends with anyone he met. Anywhere he went, everyone knew his name. He would do anything for anyone that asked. His selflessness for his family, friends, and loved ones was evident in his acts of kindness. He was an outstanding member of the church and raised his family in faith and putting God first. His dedication and devotion to his family was his highest priority.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Diane; son Steve; daughters Christina and Jennifer; daughter-in-law Mary; son-in-law Rocco; grandkids Dawn, Colby, Christian, Dominick, Aidan, Ryder, Riley, and Scarlette; siblings Carolyn Hefner, Carl Money, Barbara Teaque, and Ben Money. He was preceded in death by his mom Bonnie and father David Benjamin Money, and brother Louis.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
