Dr. Jeffery H. Lewis was born in Logan, Utah on December 3, 1949 and passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada from his battle with cancer on November 30, 2021 with his family by his side. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by his family; family was everything to him.
Jeff grew up on a cattle ranch in Whitehall, Montana with his parents Dow and Delta Lewis, and his five siblings Dow (Judy) , Sharon (Jerry), Patti (Dan), Vicky (Rex), and Linda (Ron).
Jeff was competitive and had a passion for playing, coaching, and watching all sports; however, his favorite moments were watching his grandchildren perform and play in all their various activities. He was a very proud grandpa.
He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the Savior and tried to live every day emulating Him and showing love to those around him.
He loved being a dentist and was the best of the best. He practiced for over thirty years in Las Vegas and truly loved his staff and patients as much as they loved him.
His biggest joy after retiring came from serving for 13 years in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple as an ordinance worker.
One of Jeff’s proudest life-long accomplishments was writing and publishing his historical fiction novel, Scars of Love.
He is survived by his wife, Marla and children, Ashlee (Brett) Roberts, Shane (Lindy) Lewis, Skye (Nelson) Tressler, Lindsay (Spencer) Folkman, Austin (Jackie) Lewis, Brynn (Kip) Lee, Landon (Tara) Lewis, and 26 beautiful grandchildren.
He was loved so much and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In 2012, Jeff received a kidney from an organ donor, which blessed us with 9 more years with him.
If you are wondering how to support Jeff and his family, please consider being an organ donor.
