Jeffrey Mak, 65, of Henderson, passed away on January 16, 2021 at St. Rose Dominican Hospital after a courageous fight with Covid-19. Prior to Henderson, he has been a longtime resident of Long Island, New York.
He was born September 14, 1955 in Hong Kong to Pui Mak and Kam Wong. At the age of 15, he immigrated with his family to Jackson Heights, Queens where they dreamed of starting a new life. Not before long, he met the love of his life, Sandy, and he was committed to gain her love and attention. His charming efforts were successful as they married in 1979 and together had one child, Melissa.
He had a long career in IT Management, holding positions in Dictaphone and Stony Brook Hospital. He retired at the age of 62 and enjoyed travelling the world, eating good food with his wife, friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; his daughter, Melissa, son-in law Cedric and his two granddaughters, Chloe and Eva.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Rose Dominican Hospital – ICU Covid Unit.
Funeral service will be held at 4:30pm, January 23, 2021 at Palm Eastern Mortuary.
