Jerry Tobias Blanchard III

Jerry Tobias “Toby” Blanchard III, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was a beloved husband, father, and papa during his incredible 71 years of life. He passed away in his home away from home, Maui, Hawaii, on Sunday, March 26, 2023.

Jerry was born on November 24, 1951, to Jerry Tobias Blanchard Jr. and Fannie B. Blanchard in Cleveland, Ohio. After Jerry graduated from John Adam’s High School in 1970, he went on to study at Bowling Green University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.

After graduating, he worked in the auto industry in Toledo, Ohio. In 1997 Jerry married his wife Debra in Cleveland, Ohio. Jerry became the loving father of Rory Spence, and Summyr Stein.

Jerry and his family moved to Las Vegas in January 2004. In 2016, Jerry retired and spent his time traveling with his beloved wife to their second home in Maui, and being the doting Papa to his 4 grandchildren. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Jerry Tobias Blanchard Jr. and Fannie B. Blanchard. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Debra Mele-Blanchard; children Rory Spence (Ingrid), Summyr Stein (Eric); siblings Diana Gritney (Edgar), and Ricky Blanchard (Tyanna); grandchildren Gabriel, Olivia, Leo, and Abigail; and many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary (7600 S Eastern Ave., Henderson) on Friday, April 14. Viewing from 11am-1pm, memorial service at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Opportunity Village, an organization Jerry loved and felt strongly about supporting.
