

Jerry G. Brooks was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Jerry will be remembered as a very exceptional person. Jerry Garlene Brooks, 75, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, passed away on December 3, 2015, in North Carolina. She was born on April 25, 1940, in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Jerry was a retired Pit Clerk at Caesars Palace. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents Virles and Leah Cloud; husband Joseph Brooks; and grandson James Harvey. Jerry is survived by her children: daughter Tina Ussery and her children Tinesa, Whitley, and Jaylin, daughter Brenda Pearson and her children Robert and Ashley, daughter Terry Harvey and her children Charles and Jeffery, son Ed Pearson and his children Skylar and Shane, and daughter Kelly Frost and her children Victoria and Adam; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Bonnie Walker, Vickey Mann, and Barbara Strange; brothers Larry Cloud and James Norred; stepdad Lewis Fritz; and many nieces and nephews. Jerry loved watching movies and was a “big” Disney fan. She also loved Bingo and spending time with her family. Simply stated, Jerry was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Jerry leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Jerry G. Brooks.
