JIM GERKE Jim Gerke, 71, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013. He was born Oct. 19, 1941, in Christobal, Panama. Jim was a retired Recreational Vehicle salesman and a member of the Las Vegas Jaycee's. Jim is survived by his wife, of 33 years, Dawn; son, Michael (Mikeko) Gerke; daughter, Jerri Cardwell; sister, Karlene (Bob) Sandstrom; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, April 4. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 5, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial following at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the Nevada Animal Society in Reno.
