Joanne Gaura

Joanne Marie Gaura aged 70 passed on to be with God on April 13, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Joanne was born June 26, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Donald and Irene Keefe. In 1966, she married Paul Gaura, and together they had four wonderful kids. Shortly after their fourth child Joanne was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She did not let this slow her down. Joanne was extremely active in her 4 children’s lives. She enjoyed arts and craft in her free time between being a school volunteer, active in the church, cub scout leader, girl scout leader, and score keeper for her kids sports. Joanne always had a positive outlook on life. When she was asked how she is doing, her reply was always “I’m fine”. She never used a discouraging word, in fact she often apologized for the inconvenience she caused others. Joanne is survived by her husband, Paul of 50 years, two sisters, and a brother. She leaves her legacy to her four children, and her grandkids. The Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, May 1st, at Holy Family Catholic Church at 4490 Mountain Vista, Las Vegas at 10am. Burial will follow at Palm Mortuary on Eastern Avenue.
