John Provost Jr. 62, as a long time resident of the Las Vegas area, passed away July 5, 2020 in the Duck Creek area of Utah. His passing was very sudden, but he was up in Utah camping and riding his UTV with his very closest friends.
He was born November 4, 1957 in Avery WI, to John and Gloria Provost. He found his soulmate and partner for life at the age of 24 when he married Mary Provost of Denver, Colorado.
He never went to college, but did graduate as a junior in the top five of his graduating class at Clovis High School outside of Fresno, CA. John was a truck drive starting at a very young age of 20 for his uncle’s trucking company. The several companies in the Las Vegas area John worked for were MS Concrete, Ahern Rental for seventeen years, and at the time of his passing he was working for M-CON Underground as their Truck Boss.
John loved life!!! He loved racing of any kind. He also loved his wife’s cooking and would always be the first to try anything that came out of the oven. He loved to spend time with his daughter and friends. John and his daughter Kayla were always using code words for projects or adventures to keep it a secrete from Mary. John always said his friends were his family.
John is survived by wife, Mary Provost; daughter, Kayla Provost; adopted son, Patrick Doyle and two beautiful grandchildren in Salt Lake City, Utah. John took so many kids under his wing and called them his own. He will always be remembered as Papa John.
In lieu of flowers the family has set up a Gofundme page. The link can be found on Mary and Kayla’s Facebook page.
The viewing will start at 5:00pm and services will begin at 5:30pm on July 25, 2020 at Palm Eastern Mortuary.
A wake will be held after the services at Patrick and Tiffany Dean’s residence:
