It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jorge Alexander Amaya who passed on 3/19/2022 at age 48. He was born on 1/14/1973 to Ana Silvia Moran in El Salvador. He moved to the United States as a young teenager for a better life. On November 21, 2014 he became a proud US citizen. He was an ambitious man, always looking to better his life and those close to him. He was a loving a husband. He was a loving father to his two children and fur baby cooper, always trying to guide them in the right direction. He was a loving uncle and friend. He wanted to make his home look beautiful and he succeeded. Whenever he had guest over, he would be welcoming as well.
He always knew the best places to eat, and he was always open to trying new food items. Jorge succeeded at any task he set his mind too. Especially when he wanted to cook something and he did not know how to, he would be on YouTube trying to learn. You could always catch him supporting team USA. You could always catch him in Knights gear during any Vegas Golden Knights games on TV or live at the T-Mobile arena. He loved the New York Giants, he was always rooting for them.
His spirit will continue to live on, guiding us to work hard for what we want. We must carry his legacy of being able to start from nothing and creating a new life for his family.
