Jose Luis De Fuentes, 65, a retired graphic artist, of Las Vegas, passed away August 15, 2018. He was born September 14, 1952 in Cuba to Rafael De Fuentes and Isabel Silvestre. Before moving to Las Vegas, he worked in Miami at many different locations as a graphic artist. His passion and joy at work was always found around the printing press. He always took pride in his work and everyone always praised him for his talent. Jose saw his most special achievement to be his family. They were all very close and never left each other’s side in any obstacles they would come across. He was a strong believer in family first, the rest can wait. He received extensive accolades at work for his talent and having such an outgoing personality. He was always willing to help others with anything. He prided himself with having a special bond with students and staff and always taught the special ED students how to do his trade. Every student that worked with him enjoyed every moment because of his sense of humor, always being there to listen, and his kindness he gave to everyone. He had such a strong impact for the children.
Jose was preceded in death by his father, Rafael. He is survived by his wife, Bertha; sons, Jose and Ryan; daughter, Lizette; grandson, Joseph; granddaughters, Cecilia and Alysia; mother, Isabel; aunts, Irma and Idalia; brother, Rafael; brother-in-law, Marco; sisters-in-law, Ana and Rosi; and cousins, Raul and Ivette. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5830 Mesa Park Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89135.
