

Joseph was born on December 15, 1926 in New York City. He married the love of his life, Nancy, also of New York City, on January 3, 1948.
After his discharge from the Army, he worked as a tailor in Manhattan for a short time, after which he opened a dry cleaning store. A short time later he gained employment in an electronics firm. He worked his way up from shipping to Quality Control Manager. After working there for quite a few years, he and his brother-in-law, Adolfo, started their own firm which grew very quickly. They were very successful.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Davide and Gaetana Orsaia Di Giorgio; wife Nancy Almonti Di Giorgio; brother Rev. John Di Giorgio; sister Josephine Pedota; and brother-in-law Adolfo Palladino.
He is survived by his sister Angelina Palladino; son David J. Di Giorgio; daughter-in-law Rosemarie Di Giorgio; grandson Joseph D. Di Giorgio and his wife Shannon; and several nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5, 2017 from 3:00pm – 8:00pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary. A Mass will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Church at 10:00am followed by burial at Palm Eastern Cemetery.
