

He was born on September 25, 1936 in Syracuse New York. He grew up in Syracuse with his many brothers and sisters. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a young teenager and fought for his country, and later made his home in Las Vegas Nevada. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend to many, who will be remembered for his unwavering love for the Lord, his passion for baseball and the military, his thoughtfulness and kindness for his friends and family.
Joseph Charles Fushey, Had many jobs throughout his life, but was mainly recognized for his work with the city of Las Vegas and the many youths he impacted in the baseball world in Las Vegas. He worked as a city inspector for decades in Las Vegas and helped organize many baseball leagues as well. He was passionate about his faith, the military, Sports, and family. He found great joy in spending time with his granddaughter Ava, attending baseball games, in his younger years coaching and listening to music and playing cards.
He is survived by his only son Joseph Scott Fushey, his daughter in-law Kimberly Fushey and his granddaughter Ava Fushey.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 26th from 3-5 pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary. 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Las Vegas, NV.89123
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. Rest easy Poppa Joe.
