My deepest Sympathy to Joe's family and friends. Joe and I were classmates all through grammar and high school in Red Bank. Joe was a good friend and we had many good times and plenty of laughs.
Rest in Peace My Friend.
Chief Joseph Pelella, Ret.
RBHS Class of 61.

My deepest condolences to his boys and his family. He will surely be missed by all. I will miss speaking with him here from New Jersey and reflecting on memories of his mom and dad. They were best friends of my mom. Heaven has gained another angel. ❤️Karen Palmer

C:\ The DOS Prompt… I remember when you came to our house with a big box. You placed it onto Mom's desk and plugged a few cords in and turned it on. We were leaning over and staring into the black box waiting with high anticipation to see something. Eventually, a lime green light appeared and very, very slowly the letter ‘C’ formed followed by a colon and a slash. You were excited but we had no idea what we were looking at. We said in unison, “What is it?” You looked at us and said enthusiastically, “That’s a computer! You’re looking at the DOS prompt.”

On that day you taught us about the DOS prompt, the structure of the computer tree, how to create a letter in Word.exe, and how to read and write to a giant floppy disk.

I didn’t know it at the time but I am often reminded of this day and how valuable this solid foundation has benefited me. Thank you for always being ahead of the technology game and sharing your knowledge with us.

Uncle Joe, I miss you so much already. I will forever appreciate our conversations and your reminders to 'have a plan' and take risks. You get at least some of the credit for each big (and small) risk I've taken.
I always appreciated how sharp, quick witted, kind, and creative you were, in addition to that engineering brain of yours.
I'm so grateful for you.

To Mike and the entire Watson family. My heart is with you and I wish I could be there with you all on today. May God be with you all today and know that comfort will come in time. With my love, Mama Sheley

Uncle Joe… the greatest, coolest, kindest, smartest, and most thoughtful uncle to walk this planet. I think the world of you and miss you tremendously. I miss our conversations and how you were always available to lend an ear whenever I needed advice on buying/selling/repairing cars, making career decisions, and even navigating love relationships. Thank you for being solutions oriented and always providing me with a fresh new perspective. I appreciate you for always being sincere, fair, objective, creative, fun, and funny at the same time.
Forever & always your niece, Roni

So sorry I can’t be with you today, but I want you to know that Joe will be missed, he was the best neighbor anyone could have.
May you all find comfort in your memories, My condolences to all and Joe may you RIP

May my Grandpa, Papa Joe, rest in peace, but may his strength and love live on through our family.

Love, Eric

I enjoyed the moments we spent together anytime we got together. Your jokes always made me laugh.
Thank you so much for the quality of love and life you gave to my husband Mikey. You will always be special to me.

Goodbye, Papa Joe.

Your Daughter-In-Law, Jane

To the Watson Family

You have our sincere condolences on the passing of Poppa Joe. We pray that you find peace in the memories and special moments you all created together. Thank God for the life lessons learned and the legacy he left.

Mike and Joe, you were blessed with a great dad. Although, we only got to meet him a few times, we can see the fruits of his labor through both of you and your loving families. His body is gone but his spirit lives, primarily in you two. Continue to make him proud. If ever in need, your Chicago family is here. We love you. Blessings to you all!

Pop, You are truly missed. You really played a significant role in my life and I will forever be thankful for having you in my life. You are the best father-in-law I could have ever asked for. Rest easy Pop.
Love,
Tamara

I want to send me deepest condolences to the family. Although I’ve never had the honor to meet Joseph in person, I feel as if my connection with his son Mike has provided me with a reflection of the character that Joseph embodied. Although Joseph is no longer here in the physical, I’m a strong believer that his spirit will continue to resonate with everyone’s life that he touched during his time on earth. May your soul rest in heavenly peace!

Family isn’t always blood, it’s the people in your life who want you in theirs and moreover accept you in theirs. You came into my life as a stranger but accepted and supported me as part of the Watson family. You were more than my brother-in-law in my heart; you are my big brother. I thank you and love you for that.

You will be missed every day
Rest well on your journey, my “friend”
Your loving sister in law Laura

Thank you Dad for teaching Joey and I how to learn about our hobbies and apply them to the careers that our families are blessed with. We will continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of our lives professionally and personally, including husbands, fathers, friends, and family. You were the best big brother a girl could have ever had. You were my protector, my teacher, my confidant and my best friend. I miss you more than words can describe and I will love you forever. Rest In Peace among the angels my big brother. I will always hold a piece of you in my heart.

Your favorite sister,
Gail

Pops was always kind and generous. His sense of humor, matter-of-fact explanations of technology, and warm smile is certainly missed already. I am honored to have known such a good man! May the beauty of his spirit live on through every heart he touched. Rest in heaven pops..ok your probably having technology or car-related discussions up there right now. But, I know you will look upon those of us you left behind and we will feel your presence with the warmth of each sunrise. ❤
