Josephine Mae Cali, 97, of Las Vegas, passed away on December 3, 2014, from natural causes, just eight days shy of her 98th birthday. She was born on December 11, 1916, in Marshalltown, Iowa, and became a Nevada resident in 1960. Before coming to Las Vegas, Josephine owned and operated a family-style Italian restaurant and market for over 25 years. She was known throughout the community for her cooking and family recipes. Her family meant the world to her and she spent a lifetime giving to them in all that she did. She was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. Josephine, known as "Grandma Jo", was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Cali. She is survived by her daughters, Toni Fain and Vicki Ham; grandchildren, Art Ham IV, Joe Ham, Chris Fain and Bill Fain; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A visitation will be held from 8:30am -10:00am on Friday, December 12; followed by a funeral service at 10:00am. All services will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue.
