Juan Diaz, 81, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on December 28, 2019. He was born on September 17, 1938 in Bauta, Cuba to Vicente Diaz and Catalina Miranda. He was preceded in death by his wife Miriam Garcia Diaz, his parents, and his sister Paulina Diaz.
Juan loved socializing, cooking, golfing, hunting, playing dominoes and spending time with his friends and family.
Juan was a person who could be counted on in times of need. He was giving, kind, generous and had a great sense of humor.
Juan could often be found at Sam’s Club and Walmart selecting just the right pineapple or buying ingredients to cook for others. His flan was a fan favorite!
Juan is survived by his children Diane Dighiera, Richard Diaz and Denise Georgi; grandchildren Erik Georgi, Tyler Georgi, Mason Georgi, Brad Georgi, Justin Diaz, Branson Diaz, Amelia Dighiera and Dominick Dighiera; and sister Matilde Stevenson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 12:00 – 2:00 followed by a memorial service at Palm Eastern Mortuary.
