Judy was born on April 16, 1936 in Detroit, MI to Rose (nee Apelbaum) and Nathan Bobroff and has been a southern Nevada resident since 1998. Judy graduated early and worked as a secretary at Fanny Farmer Candy in Detroit before marrying the love of her life, Emanuel “Manny” Stein. She was a homemaker while growing her family and later worked with Manny at their drug store until moving to Las Vegas to be near her grandchildren. Judy was an avid reader, loved playing Maj Jong, and enjoyed the slot machines. She was a devoted wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and great-aunt. Judy is predeceased by her parents, Rose and Nathan Bobroff; sister, Sarah Neuman (Sy); two brothers, Morris Bobroff (Sylvia) and Harold Bobroff (Ethel); and her beloved husband, Emanuel Stein. She is survived by her son, Lawrence Stein of West Bloomfield, MI; daughter, Marcy Stein-Saxe (Steven) of Las Vegas; two grandsons, Ryan Saxe (Desiree) and Brandon Saxe; granddaughter, Carly Saxe; and great-granddaughter, Emilia Saxe. Services will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV. Family requests that memorial donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice or Rabbi Jonathan Hodson’s Discretionary Fund at Temple Beth Sholom. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
