Julie Marie DeRose

Julie was born in Syracuse, NY to Victor and Mary DeRose (née Cosentino), the third of four children. She was a proud graduate of Cornell University and Henninger High School. After brief stints in public interest organizing and human resources, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of attending law school (Loyola Law School) and began an active legal career in Southern California in 1991. Along the way, she met and married Daniel Eskue, and together they raised the joy of their lives, their daughter, Victoria. In 2019, Julie retired from legal practice and she and Dan moved to Lake Las Vegas. In this phase of life, Julie enjoyed voracious reading, live music and theatre performances, trivia competitions, and most memorably, a family trip to explore her ancestral hometown of Cervino, Italy.

Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary, father, Victor, and brother-in-law, Larry Cooper. She is survived by her husband Dan, daughter Victoria, sister Paula (John) Best of Buffalo, NY, brother Phillip (Linda) DeRose of Gales Ferry, CT, and sister Mary (Larry) Cooper of Cooper City, FL, as well as numerous beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends she always considered family.
