April 29, 1949 – July 26, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Julie Ann Jensen, who went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of a family who will miss her beyond words.
Julie was born on April 29, 1949, in Minot, North Dakota, to Leonard and Ruth Rauschenberger. She spent her early years in Kief, North Dakota, before her family moved to Kenmare. It was there, in 1963, that Julie met the love of her life, Neil Jensen. Their young romance quickly became a lifelong love story. Julie and Neil were married on November 14, 1965, shortly after Neil joined the U.S. Navy. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, laughter, and countless memories. They recently celebrated an incredible 60 years of marriage surrounded by their children.
Julie had a natural gift for connecting with people. Her warm, outgoing personality served her well during her years working in jewelry sales, where customers returned again and again not only for her advice, but also for Julie herself. She had a way of making people feel comfortable and cared for. After many years in sales, health challenges related to her lungs led to her medical retirement.
More than anything, Julie loved her family. She treasured her trips back to North Dakota to spend time with her daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings and extended family. And she cherished having grandchildren close to her in Las Vegas as well. Distance never diminished Julie’s love for her family or the joy she found in being part of their lives.
Julie truly never met a stranger. She was loving, outgoing, spirited, and genuine, with a personality people were naturally drawn to. She could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, and before long, they felt as though they had known her for years. To know Julie was to know how deeply she loved—and how deeply she was loved in return.
Julie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Neil Jensen; daughters Kimberly Ann Foley (Duane) of Minot, ND, and Patricia Lynn Jensen of Montrose, CO; son Jeffrey Neil Jensen of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Taylor Foley, Jordan (Megan) Foley, and Kameron Foley, all of Minot, and Dylan Wilkinson and Jesse Jensen of Las Vegas; as well as 10 great grandchildren. Sisters Nancy (Kim) Holmes of Coleharbor, ND, and Brenda (Mike) Donohue of Bend, OR, brother Troy (Paula) Rauschenberger of Minot; as well as her great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends whose lives she touched.
Julie leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family forever shaped by her love. Her laughter, her outgoing spirit, and the way she made people feel welcome will not be forgotten. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
