Karen Gregory was born in Canton, Ohio to Edward and Alberta Lysek on April 19, 1943. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada with her family in 1959. She graduated from Basic High School in 1960. She spent most of her career in accounting and retired two years ago after working for the MGM Resorts for over 10 years. She enjoyed cooking, computer games, fishing and movies.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alberta Lysek.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Stephanne Zimmerman, of Henderson Nevada; her sister, Sondra Dunn of Byers, Texas; and two nieces: Lisa Gunther of Aptos, California and Kim Garrett of Mansfield, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary at 7600 South Eastern, Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or your favorite charity in her memory.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the St. Rose De Lima Hospital staff for their support in her final days.
