My dear friend, Karen.  I’ll never forget our memories and our friendship.  Until we meet again.

Words cannot express the shock and sorrow of the loss of Karen.  We had many fun times like the time Ira and I hid a toy frog under her pillow  at Stevie's  house and she ran out of her bedroom screaming while we laughed.   Teasing Karen and Bob that they were going to have twins when she was pregnant with Ryan only to find out a year and a half later that I was having twins.   Of course Karen and I had to have our drinks.   Karen will truly be missed. She was a kind soul who looked after her family.  Toby, Nadine, Lyndi and Ryan my deepest condolences for our loss. She will be missed.

I am Karen's uncle Ira. I am Toby's brother. I was 5 years old when Toby married Harry (Hesh). When Nadine was born I was around 8 and Karen followed 3 years later, making me 11. My parents lived no more than 25 minutes away, which made it convenient to visit each other frequently. On the weekends either the Farkas family would come to our house, or we would go there. In the summers our families would go to hotels in the Catskills together. We were all very close. I remember teaching Karen to swim in the hotel pool. When Karen was little, instead of crawling, Karen would transverse the room by scooting on her butt. When she got excited, she would hold her fingers outstretched and smile. So cute! As time went on I watched her date and marry. Her hubby, Bob and I got a long really well. She gave birth to Ryan a little before our twins were born. They eventually moved to Florida and Bob hated it so they eventually followed Nadine and Stu to Las Vegas. And Lyndi was born there. We didn't see each other often at that point in our lives, but we always kept in touch and remained close.  So I knew Karen very well for all her life. I watched her and her family grow and flourish. Karen was usually happy go lucky, with a great sense of humor. She was liked by all who knew her. She was kind and personable. She lost the love of her life when Bob passed away about three years ago and she hasn't been the same since. She was heartbroken and missed him always. She pre-arranged to be interned next to him. Hopefully, if there is another plane of existence, she will be with him. Along those same lines, I hope that her dad and my mom and dad will be there to guide her. May she be at peace and happy. I will love her always, despite her obvious absence.

I’ll miss you so much Karen 🌹 We sure do take life for granted… thinking someone will just always be there!  The morning that I heard you had passed I was so sad and in shock!  Not Karen!!  I know that you missed your Bob so much and I am thankful for you being together again but for your family and friends left here… it’s just so sad 😞 
You are one of the most thoughtful souls that I’ve ever known ♥️ !  Enjoy Paradise my friend!  I Love you… please give Jenny a big hug from me! 🌻

To my dearest First cousin Karen,

The news of your passing brings me great sorrow. You were a pillar of strength for your family. You took on tremendous projects, putting yourself second. For your daughter and son, your sister and her family, and your dear mother.

In Judaism teaches us to do a mitvahs , good deeds, you, my cousin have a lot of mitzvah   Miles. 

The memories that we had together growing up and sharing Sundays at grandma and grandpa‘s house with your sister, Nadine, my sister, Adrienne, and uncle Ira will never be forgotten.

I remember you sitting on your butt when you were four, extending your arms and flexing your fingers and with a cute little lisp, saying I am  karen Farkas. Precious who you are my little cousin.

I know that you miss Bob terribly and the stress that you were under a large burden.

Rest in perfect peace, my love, enjoy heaven with Bob and say hello to my parents and sister, I know they are waiting for you.

To Lindy and Ryan and my Toby and Nadine I extend my deepest heartfelt love for all of you and because I love you so much you are sorrow is my sorrow.

Treasure the moments that you had together, it says that if you pray for someone who is passed  a light transcendence through world dimensions and elevate them in the kingdom of our creator.

Please remember that I’m here for you, and Karen and I will pray for your soul every day. I love you then and I will love you forever.

May God rest your soul and I look forward to seeing you when I cross over

My deepest condolences to you both and to your Grandmother for the devastating loss of your beloved mother and daughter. She touched so many lives including mine and words cannot express the void she has left behind. Take comfort in knowing that she is now with your Dad and the love of her life and they both will watch over you all always.

This picture was in Karen’s office in September, 2024. I think God her schedule had time so we could visit.  She was struggling with the grief that losing “your person” brings. I’ll miss her  so much.
