It would be wrong to say that Kathryn lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always so strong. Not only was she strong physically, but also spiritually in her walk with the Lord. Through all her suffering, she continued to praise God. Her joy for life and unbreakable faith kept her pushing through the pain. Her story and testimony has touched so many people and will continue to do so.
Kathryn, known by many as Karen, was born on November 25, 1968 to Estrella and Medardo Zapanta in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines. On May 25, 1991, she and the love her life, Renato Magtoto, were wed and went on to have two children Charlene and Aaron.
Kathryn dedicated her life to being the best mother she could possibly be. She showed up for every big moment; she was her children’s number one fan and constant supporter. She was an amazing dancer and singer, and she loved to cook. She was always the life of every party, and she never failed to make people laugh. She was known for her selflessness, kindness, contagious smile, and her compassionate spirit. She took any and every opportunity to help and serve other people. Kathryn was an absolute joy to be around, and her legacy will live on for years to come.
Kathryn is survived by her husband Renato, her children Charlene and Aaron, her son-in-law Alex and daughter-in-law Chelsey, as well as many of her friends and family.
The family requests that all flowers be sent on Saturday, May 28, 2022 to Palm Southwest Mortuary. Any and all donations can be made on the GoFundMe page (https://gofund.me/e89935ac) created on behalf of the Magtoto family.
