Keiko Matayoshi Iredale, 83, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2022. She was born January 2, 1939 in Japan. She is survived by her brother, Yasunobu Matayoshi, her daughter, Chieko Adair, her son, Hideo Aguni, and her grandchildren, Stephanie, Marie and Shota.
Kay, as she was called by family and friends, was a lover of all things country western and is fondly remembered dressed to the nines in her best cowboy boots & hats, all color coordinated. She loved to sing karaoke, dance to Okinawan folk music, and could eat her weight in crab legs. Those who knew her best know that she always left room for dessert. Kay loved animals and will be greatly missed by her dog, Yuki, whom she shared with her daughter Chieko. Yuki will especially miss stealing Kay’s socks whenever there was an opportunity.
Grandma Keiko will be deeply missed by friends and family, and she will forever be in our hearts.
