Kevin Joseph Castillo Thompson

Kevin was born in Van Nuys, California on July 16, 1986, as the only child to Henedina (Hedy) and George Thompson. Kevin was doted on by his mother and father. When he was a toddler, Kevin moved to Las Vegas, where he grew up playing various sports, including basketball, baseball, and football. He served as an assistant coach for the Spring Valley Little League baseball team, and during high school, he was the running back for Durango High School, graduating with the class of 2004. After high school, he went on to work in construction as a tile setter.

Like his father, Kevin was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. He treasured the time he spent watching all sports with his dad. One of the fondest memories he had was when he and his father attended a baseball game together, just enjoying each other's company.

Kevin was a loving person, known for his kindness and the care he showed to those around him. Though he did not have children of his own, he had a special bond with his extended family and friends, who meant the world to him. He is survived by his mother. He was preceded in death by his father on June 10, 2024, and his step-brother, Greg Thompson, on March 7, 2023. Kevin leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who all cared for him deeply.
