Mimi was born on May 13, 1946 in Okinawa, Japan; as a middle child, with a younger sister named, Miko Eskles, and a older brother, Mitsuru Yamada to Tim and Kay Anderson.
Kiyomi met her first husband, Mibo Okuda, while touring Vietnam with her music group during the war before meeting her soulmate, Jimmy Nishiyama, until his passing in 1991.
She enjoyed socializing and music, especially from artist Tomohisa Yamashita. She was very diverse doing things such as owning and operating a restaurant called Geisha Steak House, being a tour group leader to working at various casinos before retiring with Sand Corps.
She is survived by her two sons Junior and Tim and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Palm Eastern Mortuary on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 2:00pm.
