I am heartbroken to hear of Svetlana’s passing. She was one of the first friends I made freshman year at Lane Tech. 

Sveta (as I called her) was so beautiful and kind. She had the coolest pair of cargo jeans I had ever seen and she would lend them to me so I could wear them to school and try to be as cool as her. It didn’t work, but it was fun trying. 

I have thought of her many times over the years and will continue to do so into the future.

Svetlana and I went to Lane Tech High School together,   This was a very long time ago, but I have never forgot the exotic young lady, Svetlana Cherechenko that roamed the halls.  She was a beautiful young  soul inside and out,

 I remember meeting her fir the first time and thinking she was going to go far.  She was a very pretty girl and  she carried herself like  royalty. 
She was kind,  soft spoken  and we became friends instantly.  

I wish we had keep in touch, it appears that my first impressions of her came true. She had a loving husband and family plus a life that she treasured.

Lana was an amazing woman with so much love for others. I started working for Natalie and Noelle when Lana was still working in the office. She affectionately became known as “Mother Goose” because she took myself, and others to follow, under her wing as a mother-like figure. I’m forever grateful for all she did for me and all the times she was there to offer advice and love. I’m blessed to have known her and love her dearly. 

Lana was always a ray of light anytime I saw her at the agency (TNG Models) She welcomed everyone with open arms and such loving energy. She was the Momma of the agency! We love you Lana! 

Lana always loved me as if I was her own daughter. She often referred to me as her “fourth  daughter” From the moment we met we always had a very special connection. My life would not be what it is today if it wasn’t for her...she (and Eddie) brought four amazing children into this world, two of which are my very best friends. And if you know any of her children then you would instantly know what an incredible mother she was. They are truly some of the most amazing people that I’ve ever met. 
I know that Lana is in a better place and pain free but I will forever miss her smile and her love. 
Thank you Lana for loving me like I was your own. I will forever cherish the special times we shared. 
You were always an angel here on earth and I know that you now have the biggest most beautiful angel wings in heaven. I love you with all of my heart and soul. Forever and ever.

Lana and I have shared many memories throughout our 35 years together. She was not only my sister in law aka sister from another mister but a friend. We shared many holidays and impromptu visits. She made our family feel extra special whenever we were together.  I will miss you my dear sister and friend.  You will never be forgotten. This is not goodbye but until we meet again!!!❤

I will never forget my Dear  Friend Lana. When we moved across the street from her. She saw that we had two young children and wanted to  Welcome us to the neighborhood. Here comes this beautiful soul with a Babushka  on her head with a 6 pack of coke, cups, ice and a bag of chips. As soon as I saw her I asked her what nationality she was and she said Ukrainian. I said me too from that time on Lana became my extended family. I know my sweet Lana is with my hubby and all having  a big party. I will truly miss her with all my heart! I will cherish all my memories with her!

Lana was a true friend and a beautiful woman.  I meet Lana when I started dating my husband I have known here for 47 yrs.  we lost touch for awhile but found each other again. I would go to Vegas just to see her and have lunch.  When my daughter passed away she sent the most beautiful present to remember my daughter . I was glad she got to meet Lauren when we were in Vegas a couple a months before she passed and we had a great time.  We would meet at a deli just outside of the strip loved the food there. She was a very proud mom of her children and the choices they have made in life she would just beam talking about them.  Our prayers are with her family at this time.

You brought so much joy to many of us.
Your kind heart was a beautiful shine to all Of us. You graced this world with such positive, unconditional love. You definitely made me look on the brighter side of life and to take it with positive energy. Dance with the Angels and know you were so loved 🙏

I met Lana’s daughter Nicole in elementary school and we became good friends. I remember her telling me how she wanted to be like her mother when she grew up and wow what an amazing person to emulate! I am so thankful that I was able to exchange emails with her in more recent years. She gave me advice when my own mother was going through chemotherapy a second time. My thoughts are with her family and friends. Thank you for everything Lana. Rest In Peace.
