Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery

Larry E. Hall Jr., beloved husband, father, son, brother, musician, songwriter, firefighter, and respected business owner, passed away on February 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, leadership, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

Larry was a gifted musician and songwriter whose passion for music shaped not only his own life, but also the lives of countless others. As a well-respected leader in the live production industry, he built meaningful relationships grounded in integrity, creativity, and mentorship.

His selfless insistence as a business owner on credit where credit is due resulted in lifetime achievement awards for three industry pioneers who others had forgotten about. His artistry, vision, and commitment to excellence led to notable achievements including Hometown Hero awards for his company awarded by a major trade publication multiple years in a row, and stints mixing artists ranging from Prince to Aretha Franklin to a decade-plus gig with soul stalwarts The Spinners—accomplishments that reflect both his talent and determination.

In addition to his musical career, Larry served as a firefighter, embodying courage, service, and selflessness. Whether responding to emergencies or leading by example in his professional pursuits, he demonstrated strength and steadfastness that earned him deep respect from colleagues and friends alike.

In all endeavors both personal and professional, he demonstrated innovation, a massive work ethic, and genuine care for those he worked with. He had a remarkable way of making people feel valued and heard. His laughter, strength, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Larry is survived by his devoted wife Kristi Hall, his children Cody and Samantha, stepson Cory Poulin as well as Cory’s wife Arianna and their two exceptional children Angel and Arlo.

Additionally, Larry leaves behind stepson Joshua Miller and his precocious son Leon as well as sister Linda (Gilbreath), her husband John and their children Justin and Zachary and his mother Virginia Lynn Harper and father Larry E. Hall, Sr.

Larry’s life was marked by service, creativity, leadership, friendship and love. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on in the music he created the lives he saved, the business he built, and the family he cherished.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on March 8, 2026. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to https://guitarcenterfoundation.org and https://firefightersupport.org.
