His work complete, his tasks dissolved, his worlds finally dimmed, Laurens departed from this realm on January 20 in Las Vegas.
Internationally-renowned and collected Australian artist, mentor, educator, intrepid traveler and originator of real and virtual worlds, musician, gourmet and gentle-hearted giant of the reaches of humanity, Laurens, sadly, left us after meeting all recent challenges with bravery, composure and determination.
Adored husband of Vivian. Beloved father of Jacinda and Michael. Treasured brother of Charlotte and John.
Esteemed colleague and friend of many, from around the world.
We will forever tend his legacy and cherish his memory.
Laurens will be cremated in a private service on Monday 27 January at Palm Dignity Downtown. Las Vegas
A celebration of Laurens life with friends and colleagues will be held in Las Vegas, and in Australia later in the year. Details will be announced.
