

Lenore Lowenstein, 79, a homemaker, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday May 7, 2013 after battling cancer. She was born March 1, 1934 in Detroit, MI to Abraham and Betty Young and was a resident of Las Vegas for almost 19 years. She married her husband Norman Aaron Lowenstein on January 3, 1954. Lenore was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Anyone that met her would say she was very fun to talk to. She could have a conversation with a stranger and leave an everlasting impression. She was so kind, loving and generous. She is survived by two sons, Brian (Connie) of San Jose, CA and Andrew (Sylvia) of Lochbuie, CO; five grandchildren, Tiffany Cotten, Matthew Lowenstein, Daniel Lowenstein, Joshua Lowenstein, and Crystal Rowcliffe; seven great-grandsons, Noah, Aaron, Isaiah, Isaac, Matthew, Andrew, and James; a loving sister, Sharon (Harvey) Rubenstein of Boynton Beach, FL and brother, Sheldon (Martha) Young of Lincolnshire, IL; and nieces and nephews who adored her. Lenore will be missed every day and will always be in our hearts. She is now reunited with her husband in heaven. Services will be held at noon on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
