LeRoy “Roy” Gilmore was a big presence in our family. He was a man’s man, a man of few words, a man of action. Roy excelled in track and field in high school. 400 hurdles was his event. He excelled in almost everything he did. He served in the Merchant Marines and the US Army during the Korean War. Hunting was a family affair with his brothers, and he was an avid gun collector. Always ready for adventure, he took his family all over the west giving us wonderful camping adventures and memories. An extremely intelligent and observant man, dedicated to his family. Always family first. Roy dedicated 62 years of marriage to his wife Patty and 37 years to his job as a warehouse supervisor at a liquor distribution company. Known to us as a husband, father, and Papa, Roy made all our lives better. A giant in our eyes dearly loved and so very missed.
