Letty G. Robinos

To everyone around Letty G Robinos, she seemed to be eternally happy, and she willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life she touched. For Letty, bringing out the best in any situation was as easy as offering a smile, a witty remark or the twinkle of an eye. And with just those simple gestures, she could evoke the most pleasant of emotions. Letty really mastered the art of living and had great fun in doing so.

Her parents were Alejandro and Flor Gamo. Letty was raised in Philippines. Even as a child, Letty had the ability to lift the spirits of all those around her. She was raised to be warm, caring and friendly. She couldn’t help but capture everyone’s attention.

Always a good playmate, Letty was easygoing and fun loving. Letty was raised with five siblings. She had two older sisters: Aleflor Ragaza and Rosalie Pena; two younger sisters: Eva Fogata and Maria “Tess” Encina and one younger brother, Johannes Gamo.

All of Letty's playful good humor carried over into her childhood. She was possessed with an outgoing personality, a lively imagination and a mellowed enthusiasm for life that allowed her to be constantly on the go. As a result, Letty experienced a rather active childhood, and this suited her very well. In her spare time she liked playing mahjong, selling cherries for profit, singing and dancing. Letty's memorable achievements included winning a beauty pageant.

Letty simply enjoyed others’ laughter and the sounds of her friends and acquaintances having a good time. Letty graduated from Villa Roman High School in 1963. Her favorite class in high school was music. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Feati University. Her favorite courses were chemistry.

She married the love of her life, Reynaldo Robinos on November 20, 1971 in New Haven Connecticut. They were blessed with three children, three daughters: Melissa, Rowena and Diana, and six grandchildren, Jayme, Jaylin, Jayson, Tyler, Brooke and Logan.

Her primary occupation was a chemist. She was employed for over thirty years at Yale University Hospital, Hartford Memorial Hospital and Kaiser Permanente.

She was a great cook. Her favorite hobby was playing mahjong and spending time talking and eating with friends.

A generous person who often wore her heart on her sleeve, Letty often found herself involved in activities she deemed important. She was charitable, kind and giving, qualities that made her loved by everyone.

Vested with a deep concern for spiritual development, Letty recognized that her faith was important to her throughout her life. She was a member The Crossing for fourteen years.

Living life to the fullest suited Letty just fine. It is no surprise that she loved to travel and to visit new and different places. She was naturally curious about other parts of the world and loved the real life adventure that came from visiting them. She was willing to try anything once. Favorite vacations included the Philippines, Hawaii, Europe and Asia.

Letty believed that you had to experience life, and her life in retirement was no different. When that day finally arrived in 2004, Letty took it in stride as one more way to have fun. Her new life involved relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada. Even in retirement, Letty continued to stay in touch with her old friends and she made plenty of new acquaintances as well. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

Letty passed away on January 4, 2020 at Southern Hills Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada. She fought a battle with heart failure. She is survived by her husband, Reynaldo, three children Melissa, Rowena and Diana and her six grandchildren: Jayme, Jaylin, Jayson, Tyler, Brooke and Logan. Services were held at Palm Southwest Mortuary, Las Vegas, Nevada. Letty was laid to rest in Palm Valley View Cemetery, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Letty brought joy to all of those around her. She loved to have a good time and was an eternal optimist, always looking on the bright side of things. She loved to share her energy, wit, and her zest for all of her activities with her friends and family. Letty G Robinos lived life to its fullest and made everyone around her happier just for knowing her. She will be remembered with a smile.
