Liya Trakhman

Liya Trakhman, age 73, of Henderson, NV, passed away on February 24, 2024. She was born on February 22, 1951, in a small village in Moldova, former USSR. Liya was the beloved wife to Gregory Trakhman and the loving mother to Arthur Trakhman and Ann Trakhman. She is also survived by her brother, Fima Milter.

Liya had a successful career as a small business owner where she provided skin care services as an Esthetician for over 40 years in the Detroit Metro Area. She quickly befriended her clients and forged a bond with those around her that often made her unforgettable.

Although there are not enough words to describe Liya, it’s important to highlight some of the things that brought her joy. In her free time when she was healthy, Liya enjoyed playing slot machines, going on cruises with her husband, and watching her favorite tv shows (Everybody Loves Raymond, Mike & Molly, Mom, Gunsmoke, and The Three Stooges). Most importantly, Liya enjoyed being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and a compassionate friend. She radiated selflessness and was often described as sweet and kind with an amazing sense of humor. Her big brown eyes would always fill a room with her warm heart and will never be forgotten.

A memorial funeral will be held at 11:00 am PST on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery. The funeral home assisting with the arrangements is King David Memorial Chapel, located in Las Vegas, NV. Because the love for Liya spans far and wide, there will be a live stream available to pay your respects as Liya would never want to inconvenience her family and friends on her behalf. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Liya’s memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society where finding a cure for blood cancer would make Liya proud to be a part of. Donations can also be made to the charity of your choice.

Liya will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in peace, pain free.
