

Lloyd Lee Curtis was born on November 13, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland to the union of Anthony and Hilda Curtis (Cruise). With this union Lloyd was the baby boy of five sibling: Bennett, Anthony “Tony”, Rochelle “Shelly” (Clark), Caulette “Letty” and Vashti.
The Curtis family relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1958 from Washington, D.C. Lloyd graduated from Los Angeles High School and was immediately employed at the United States Postal Service where he served for 41 years before retiring. He met and fell in love with Vivian Lee (Steele) through a close friend, Clarence “Buzzie” Napper and after six months of dating, he proposed, and they married and happily celebrated 63 years together. Through this union three sons were born: Lance Stephen, Mark Christopher and Lloyd Anthony “Tuffy”.
Lloyd and Vivian were active members at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church in California for 23 years and 2nd Baptist Church in Everett, Washington for 13 years and after relocating to Las Vegas in 2011, they became loyal members of Victory Baptist Church. Lloyd and Vivian found their dream community in Sun City Anthem where they quickly met lifelong friends and became active members in various clubs and organizations. Lloyd served as President of the Bid Whist Club and the Sun City Current Events Club. He was also active as a Citizens Service Participant with the City of Henderson Police Department and a contributor and Chair of the Henderson Grand Jury.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Hilda Curtis; older brothers Bennett and Anthony “Tony” Curtis. He leaves to cherish his memory a beloved wife of 63 years, Vivian Curtis; children Lance Curtis (Riverside, CA), Mark Curtis (Tammy) (Denver, CO) and Lloyd “Tuffy” Curtis (Las Vegas, NV), an adopted daughter Marcia Farr (Las Vegas, NV); 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; three loving sisters Rochelle “Shelly” (George), Caulette “Letty”, and Vashti Curtis all of Seattle, Washington; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and family-like, lifelong friends and neighbors.
