

On May 10, 1943 in Fort Worth, Texas, Willie and Essie Waits announced the arrival of their lovely daughter, Lois Jean Morris. As a young lady Lois learned how to lean and depend on Jesus, as a result, she welcomed the Lord into her life as her personal savior.
Lois retired from the Clark County School District in 2008.
On Wednesday, May 8, 2013, just before the dawning of a new day, Lois Jean Morris, bid farewell to her loved ones and went home to be with the Lord. Her arrival was welcomed by her parents, Willie and Essie Waits, and her brothers, Willie Waits, Jr. and Jerry Waits. Lois touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity. She maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
Lois cherished her calling as a mother. She found her greatest joy and happiness when surrounded by family.
She is survived by four wonderful children: Alicia Criss, Kanea Jackson, Lawrence Morris and Kimberly Morris Pruitt (Gary Pruitt); loving sister, Bobbie Jo Hodge; 13 grandchildren: Kevin Morris, Athena Morris, Brandon Criss, Keisha Jackson, Elizabeth Jackson, James Jackson, Jr., Christopher Jackson, Megan Morris, Shelby Pruitt, Bradley Pruitt, Julia Pruitt, Tristan Pruitt, Deenayda Christian; and 9 great-grandchildren: Kavonte Morris, Marshawn Morris, Donavon Morris, Janessa Morris, Braydon Chriss, Giovanni Chriss, Briana Chriss, Jayden Jackson, Jeremiah Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
