My Dear Friend Mike, 

Mary Jo just shared Danielle’s Facebook message informing us of the passing of the love of your life. We are so very sad that the bright light that was Loretta’s life has left this pale blue dot. She gave us so much genuine energy and verve; and that is only a small part of her that we will miss in this time of grief. More than anything, her gift was to effortlessly create and distribute love without constraints. She gave love away as if there was no limit to its reserve because there was no bottom to that well. Love, to Loretta, was that precious treasure one is meant to give away, never to hoard or covet.  

Mary Jo and I want you, and Rayna, and Jonathan, and Danielle and their families to know how deep our condolences are to you all. We who mourn her passing know how lucky we are to have been in her orbit.
