Loyd (Mac) Edward McCracken, 84, passed away on June 12, 2012 at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. He was born on November 20, 1927 in Tetonia, Idaho to Lewis and Imogene McCracken. He was married to his beloved wife of 58 years, Loretta Frances Sinex.
After completing high school, Loyd attended numerous Technical schools to further his education towards aviation. Loyd served in the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged he stayed with the Navy as a civilian and became a Tech Rep. He ended his 40-year career as an Aviation Engineer. During his career he received many medals and awards for his service to the Navy.
Loyd loved to tinker…he could fix anything that needed fixing. One of his greatest pastimes was teaching “how to tinker” on to his granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
Loyd is survived by his wife, Loretta, daughter Linda, granddaughter Kimberly, and great-grandchildren Katherine, Justin, Trustin, and Austin.
