On January 26, 2025, Lucito Suzon Macapagal peacefully left this world surrounded by loved ones in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on December 13, 1942, in Calumpit, Bulacan, Philippines to Dominador Macapagal and Felisa Suzon Macapagal.
Lucito grew up in Bacood, Santa Mesa, Philippines and graduated from Manuel L. Quezon University in Manila, Philippines in 1969 with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. After graduating college, Lucito married Josephine Dural Macapagal on January 27, 1973, in San Juan, Manila, Philippines. Lucito worked abroad as a civil engineer in Saudi Arabia from 1978 to 1988, then immigrated to California in 1988 with his family to become a manufacturing engineer at Johnson Controls.
Lucito will be remembered as a kind, friendly, generous, patient, and loyal man. He was deeply involved in community activities with the Igelsia Ni Cristo church. He had a great love for food; his favorites included crispy pata, lechon, kare kare, bopis, blue crab, and pancit.
He is survived by his wife Josephine, his three daughters, Sheila Hapin, Marites Macapagal, and Jovalyn Lozano; his seven grandchildren, Ashley Macapagal, Michael Cooper, Hannah Hapin, Heila Hapin, Louie Hapin, Mason Lozano, and Max Lozano; and his five great grandchildren, Jiselle Maniago, Kayden Cooper, Aria Maniago, Messiah Maniago, and Kairo Cooper.
A visitation for Lucito will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 from 4-8PM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113, here services will begin at 11am on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery, Las Vegas.
