Ludine R. Owens

Ludine Owens December 18, 1929 – May 18, 2013 Ludine Owens was born in Texarkana, TX on December 18, 1929 to Turner and Erma Lee Roberts. Ludine was the fifth born of nine children. Her parents and six of her brothers and sisters have preceded her in death. She graduated from Columbia County High School in Magnolia, AR. On September 3, 1966 Ludine married Wallace Owens who preceded her in death. Ludine decided to start her career in the medical field as an Office Administrator at Orthopedic Hospital and later changed her career path to become a Supervisor in the Surgery Scheduling department at Kaiser Permanente in West L.A. until her retirement after 20 years of service. While working at Kaiser, Ludine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Care Administration at Antioch University West in Venice, CA in 1984. Ludine leaves behind to cherish her memory, her only daughter Barbara Morris and son-in-law Fred Morris; five granddaughters, Rochelle (Marcus), Jill, Nicole (Rodney), Kimberly (Michael) and Ashley; Eleven great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and one Godson. Her surviving four brothers, Bob (Bobbie), Roy (Maureen) Gene and Larry (Lanette); two sisters Joyce (Alvin) and Dorothy, and host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves her best childhood friends Laura Davis and Sylvia Whitt, other friends and loved ones. Ludine Owens will be missed by many.
