

Luis H. Pino, age 83, of Las Vegas, formerly of Paterson, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026. He was born on September 20, 1942 in Santiago Chile, and immigrated to the US in the early 1970’s.
Mr. Pino worked as a machine operator for Coral Dye and Finishing Corporation in Paterson for more than 20 years, retiring 2007. He was proud of the opportunity to take care of his home and family, opening his doors to all in need at “Hotel Pino” in Paterson, offering assistance to those coming into the United States who needed a helping hand.
He enjoyed his ritual coffee and butter roll, home poker tournaments, playing Pick 6 and scratchers! While living in Chile, he was a founder of the Sergio Ceppi Basketball Club and was a member of the Chilean Air Force.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Alicia “Licha,” children: Luis C. (Maria) Pino and Cindy (John) Maguire; three grandchildren: Talisa (Fernando) Costa, Tyler (Crystal Suarez) Pino and Jon Pino-Maguire; three great grandchildren: Celine, Logan and Zoey; brother: Jaime (Mary Alonso) Pino; sisters: Teresa (Juan) Berrios and Cristina (Juan) Bustos.
A memorial service will begin at 6pm on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas.
