Luzviminda Tenorio Cabalfin, a long-time resident of the Chicagoland area and recent resident of Las Vegas, passed away on May 12, 2020 at Southern Hills Hospital.

She was born May 9, 1942 in San Nicolas Batangas, Philippines to Jose and Pacita Tenorio.

She married her husband Cesar Cabalfin in 1971 in Chicago, Illinois.

Luz received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. She worked most of her career at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. She ended her career at Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, Illinois.

She loved Jesus and the Catholic Church. She attended mass every Sunday and every holy day and she prayed daily. She also loved cooking and preparing large meals for her loved ones. She was well-known for her pancit.

She is survived by her brother Pepito Tenorio; her son Caesar Cabalfin; her daughter Cheryl Cabalfin Wilson; her son Brian Cabalfin; and her five grandchildren Faith, Hope, Gabriel, Nicholas, and Alessandra.

Luz was treasured by her grandchildren and family. She showed her unconditional love through her delicious cooking, affectionate hugs and loving words.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, May 23, 2020 at Palm Eastern Mortuary. Burial will be held at 3:00 pm at Palm Eastern Cemetery.
