Lyman (Skip) Allen Skip Allen, was a resident for 55 years. He was born on March 14, 1935 in Somerset, Kentucky. He died on Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Skip was in the restaurant business for 15 years and then retired after a 30-year career of hotel customer service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman Q. Allen, Audrey Cowan Brown and stepfather Louis Brown. He is survived by his brother, Sam Allen of Roseburg, Oregon; four nieces; one nephew; and 21 great- and great-great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 12:30 Friday, January 9, followed by a 2:00 graveside service at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
