Lynn Marie Gaffney

Lynn Marie Gaffney, 59, of Henderson, passed away Feb. 9, 2011. She was born April 21, 1951, in Chicago, and was a 10-year resident of Nevada. She was the loving wife of Bill Gaffney whom she married Dec. 16, 1979; beloved mother of Keith, Susan and Mackenzie Gaffney; and grandmother of Blake and Nicholas Gaffney. Lynn was an inspiration to not only family and close friends, but to everyone she met along her journey. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1981 and fought continuous battles with the disease. Her beauty, kindness and pure positive love drew many to her circle and brought inspiration to all. From day one, Lynn always put everyone's needs ahead of her own, being the heart of her family even during her own health struggles - yet continually remained the life and light of the party. She will be missed dearly and live forever in our souls. Lynn was preceded by mother, Marie (Drummond) Rizzo; and father, Vincent Rizzo. Lynn is survived by her brother, Vincent (Annette) Rizzo; niece, Nicole; nephews, Vincent Michael and Andrew; sister, Cynthia (Rizzo) Johnson; niece, Kristen; and nephew, Zachary. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 10075 S.
