He was born February 15, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to Jack and Bertha Zuckerman who had 3 children, Marc, Carol, and Leonard. Both of them will miss their brother dearly. Marc was described as a big teddy bear who always was there for everyone in any way he can be while making everyone he held dear to his heart feel loved.
Marc graduated from Midwood High School and attended Brooklyn College after. During this time, he joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, local 3, in Queens, NY learning his trade as an electrician. Marc enjoyed many activities such as scuba diving, flying planes, riding horses, motorcycles, fast cars, and traveling. He took volunteering very seriously for the community. He was a 50 plus year member of the Knights of Pythias, where he served as a past Grand Chancellor for the state of Nevada. Marc continued his volunteering efforts with the Elks Lodge as a treasurer and later a trustee. Marc volunteered with the Las Vegas Metro police department starting the handicapped parking enforcement program. He also joined the Las Vegas Radio Amateur Club where he volunteered as an examiner certifying future radio operators while maintaining the highest level of certification, as well as being a member of the board of directors. His daily time on the ham radio included the Sky Warn where he took part in the National Weather Service. He was also one of the originating members of Red Rock Search and Rescue helping maintain the radio communications.
Marc is survived by his loving wife; his devoted children, David Zuckerman (Kourtney), Jodi Zuckerman and Jenna Ford (Mark) who will miss him dearly; sister Carol Gedinsky; brother Leonard Zuckerman (Kay); nephews Adam, Kevin, and Jack, niece Lisa; along with his loving grandchildren Jonathan, Ava, Jordan, Matthew, and Audrey.
Funeral service and burial will be held at 2:00 PM, January 31, 2021 at Palm Eastern Cemetery.
