Marcos Alexander Velez

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcos Velez, 33, of Las Vegas, who passed away at home on February 22, 2025.

Born on October 21, 1991, in Las Vegas, Marcos was the beloved son of Tino Velez and Janna Velez. He grew up in Las Vegas, where he formed lasting friendships and cherished his family.

Marcos was known for being a quiet, loyal friend with a deep passion for music, writing, skateboarding, drawing, and astrology. He was also a rockhound and loved fishing.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Ed and Ruby Stark, Loren Duane Rinear and Zimma Pearl Stewart, and his grandparents Victor and Maria Velez.

Marcos is survived by his loving grandparents Janie Stark and Dennis Rinear; brothers Andrew Velez and Jonathan Velez; sisters-in-law Daniela Velez and Ashley Day; nieces Aundrea Velez, Isabella Velez, and Khloe Day; and nephews Kaiden Velez and Mateo Velez.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support during this difficult time.

Marcos will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that day,

God was going to call your name.

In life, we loved you dearly,

In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.

You did not go alone.

You left us peaceful memories,
