Margo Meek Pine

Margo was born on June 28, 1947 in San Francisco, CA to Don & Louise Meek. Margo’s parents were in the military (USMC) so she was constantly on the move to new locations and homes. Growing up, Margo lived in California, Virginia, New York, Georgia, Mississippi and Hawaii due to her dad’s military career. As a result, she learned to quickly adapt to each place and make new friends, and this became the start of her outgoing, adventurous and engaging personality. In 1967 Margo made Honolulu, Hawaii her permanent home for the next 26 years, where she graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BA degree, then worked for American Hawaii Insurance. In her 20’s & 30’s Margo was known as “Go-Go Margo” due to her bubbliness, energy and desire to go out anywhere anytime at the spur of the moment.

Margo met the love of her life, Aaron Pine, in 1989 on a cruise ship vacation where Aaron was the Photo Manager. They relocated to Seattle, WA in 1993 and married that October. In Seattle, Margo began her Concierge career at the Seattle Waterfront Marriott, receiving many accolades and awards, eventually earning a professional designation as a Les Clefs d’Or Concierge. In 2013 Margo & Aaron moved to Las Vegas, where they bought a home and Margo continued as a Concierge for MGM/Luxor and Resorts World, until her passing.

Margo was artistic and creative, and she loved LIFE!! She enjoyed music, movies, crafts, traveling, and fine dining. Her fun-loving spirit, devotion to friends and family, and high energy defined Margo.

Margo passed away on August 16, 2024 doing what she enjoyed most: dinner and a concert with close friends. She is survived by her sister Mareed Meek Stollman of Canton, GA, cousin Fred Meek of Jonesborough, TN, and cousins Wally & Kristi Meek of Port Angeles, WA.

A visitation for Margo will be held Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur at 10:00 AM with committal service to follow.
