Margo G Tait, age 70, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at St. Rose Dominican Siena Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in 1954 in Dickinson, North Dakota to John and Georgia Gutensohn, Margo lived her early years in New England, North Dakota until the family moved to Bismarck in her teenage years. A 1972 graduate of Bismarck High School, Margo maintained close ties to and fondness for North Dakota throughout her life.
Moving to Las Vegas in 1972, Margo built her life around her family and her community. With a warm and outgoing personality, Margo was always willing to strike up a conversation. She rarely met anyone that remained a stranger for long. She had a long career in hospital administration at University Medical Center before retiring several years ago to enjoy spending more time with her family and friends.
Margo was a member of Saint Paul's Cathedral of the Charismatic Episcopal Church in Henderson. The volunteer and fellowship opportunities available through her Church, as well as the strong friendships built, were a source of joy in her life.
Margo is survived by her daughter, Alisha (William) Porter of Chesterfield, New Jersey, a grandson, William Porter, also of Chesterfield, her brother, Mark Gutensohn, of Las Vegas, Nevada, an aunt, Jan Lundstrom, of Sun City, Arizona, and numerous cousins from South Dakota, Missouri, California, New Jersey, Iowa, and Washington.
Arrangements are being handled by Palm Eastern Mortuary of Las Vegas.
Services will be at her church on Saturday March 29th at 10am. It's a very humble church that she loved dearly.
