Obituary of Marie Isabell Esquivel
IN THE CARE OF

Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery

Marie Isabell Esquivel, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at the age of 71.

Marie was born on May 13, 1955, in Big Spring, Texas. In 1974, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Marie enjoyed many simple pleasures in life. She loved working on word searches, writing inspirational quotes, reading books and magazines, and spending time watching Lifetime movies and comedy shows. She enjoyed shopping, dining out at restaurants, and going to the movies. From time to time, she also enjoyed playing bingo and trying her luck gambling. In her younger years, Marie loved to dance and was known for enjoying life to the fullest.

Those who knew Marie will remember her for her strength, resilience, sense of humor, and the love she shared with family and friends. She found joy in everyday moments and touched the lives of many with her kindness and caring heart.

Marie is survived by her loving children, Stephanie (Wassim), Meledie, and Carlos Jr.; her cherished grandchildren, Ariana and Zayden; her nieces, Gina (Chase), Michelle (Austin), Vasuki, Chastity (Tyler) and Ashley; her nephews, Anthony and Michael; her great-niece, Leah; her great-nephews, Cameron, Tyler, and Matthew; and her siblings, Nazario Jr., Amelia, Jose, Aurelio (Nerie), and Francisca (Jaime).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nazario Sr. and Amelia, and her beloved sisters, Juanita and Trinidad.

Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created and the love she gave will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on through the family and friends she leaves behind.

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and held so dear.”
