Marvin John Pupeter

Marvin was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin on January 13, 1946 and later that year adopted by Edward and Jessie Pupeter of Two Rivers, Wisconsin. He had an idyllic childhood, growing up on a street full of other children, wonderful grandparents across the street, a block from the river, and a block in the other direction from Lake Michigan.

The adoption social worker told his mother now she would have a child of her own and three years later his brother Mark was born.

He graduated from Washington High School of Two Rivers in 1964 and then from DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago. He served in the Naval Air Reserve from 1967 to 1973. He married Jean Clifford on January 7,1978 in Janesville, Wisconsin.

He had numerous jobs where the facility closed including Harnischfeger, Milwaukee Road, Gilman, and Bendix. In 1983 he was hired as a journeyman electrician at General Motors in Janesville and retired from there in 2006. He spent his retirement between Las Vegas and South Beloit, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Jean, his daughter Kelly (husband Todd Fiebelkorn), and grandson, Caliber Fiebelkorn. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Jacque Schaffer of Rice Lake, Wisconsin and brother-in-law, Fred (Mary) Clifford of Colorado. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Mark. He is also survived by his wife’s niece and nephews, Tom Schäffer, Molly Dittmann, and Johnny Schaffer. He is further survived by his best friend of childhood, Dick Duvalle, of Two Rivers, and his best friend from General Motors, Santos McGill of Janesville. Marvin was always interested in electronics, including radios, stereo equipment, movies, music, and computers. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan particularly for the Packers and Brewers.

A visitation for Marvin will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A committal service will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A reception will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A memorial service will be held in May in Janesville, Wisconsin.
