Mary Ellen Miller

Mary Ellen Miller, age 72, of Las Vegas passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. She was born on May 30, 1952 in Sacramento, CA to Elvina & Harold Lower. She graduated Elk Grove High School and California State University of Sacramento with her Master’s degree. Mary loved to dance, read, swim, paint and play music. She loved animals, especially her dogs and canaries. She enjoyed anthropology, history and science.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Miller and sisters: Jacqualine, Romaine, Beverly and Marlene.

Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Lower and step-children, Ronald & Justene Provins as well as step-grandchildren, Crystal, Alyssa Provins and Hailey Provins and RaeAnn Levings.

Mary will be remembered for her being incredibly loving, kind, strong, smart, honest, forgiving and a wonderful mother. Even though she faced many obstacles in life, she always overcame them and kept going. Her smile would light up a room. She would always say “keep your chin up” and “don’t sweat the small stuff cause it’s all small stuff”. She will be deeply missed by many but especially by her daughter.
